“ You can go to the chip shop round the corner and then bring in to the Tap and have a great pint at the same time. Surprised it's not busier. ”
“ Excellent beer and friendly staff. The regulars are welcoming and talkative. Usually right excellent draft beers and extensive bottle and can selection. Food provider by a series of guest caterers: always compliment the beers and outstanding value Dog friendly too and if you’re coming by train they’ve created a live departure board to ensure that you don’t miss your train ”
“ Great little find on our way back to the station after a walk up and around Helsby Hill.Sunday early evening there was a DJ with a record player playing vinyls which was fantastic. Lively atmosphere, friendly people, good real ale and Gin & tonic. You can keep an eye on the train times on the board behind the bar, although we were having such a good time we missed 2 trains! ”
“ Visited the Helsby Tap for a function. It is a friendly welcoming place with a great range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Sadly I was driving so couldn't sample the beers but there seemed to be some really interesting options... will definitely go back to try some! There is parking in the local area, plus Helsby station is only a short walk away, they even have an electronic timetable behind the bar so no one needs to miss their train. The staff were friendly and welcoming and it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves. There were also regulars in, watching the rugby in a separate room and enjoying a few drinks. Can highly recommend the Helsby Tap, thanks Steve and the staff for such a warm welcome! ”
